Renato Boaretto´s musical automaton realized in France in the 70's depicting a standing violinist playing his musical instrument.
This musical automaton with porcelain limbs, drawn eyes and dressed in a satin, velvet and lace costume, has 3 movements: movement of the head which turns from right to left and of the hands (the right hand handles the bow and the left hand holding the violin, moves up and down).
This musical automaton contains in its base a traditional swiss musical wind up mechanism from the Reuge company. Melodies of this musical automaton: 2 tunes of classical music.
