The dolls in this animated music box / musical box were made in the 1990s by Les Demoiselles Philippart, heirs to a long tradition of manufacturers of dancing dolls since the 1940s.

This animated musical box / music box with a glass globe contains a traditionnal Reuge 18-note wind up musical mecanism.

When the music is started by the pull under the base, the couple starts to spin in both directions making pauses and accelerations.
